Fire Sprinkler InspectorAs a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings and facilities by inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems. This position requires a strong understanding of fire codes, standards, and regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.ResponsibilitiesConduct regular inspections of fire protection systems.Sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge)Fire pumps and controllersStandpipe systemsEmergency lighting systemsPortable fire extinguishersKitchen suppression systems (where applicable)Special Hazards systems (where applicable)Identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, test results, and recommendations.Interpret and apply relevant fire codes and standards, such as NFPA, IFC, and local regulations.Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding fire safety requirements and inspection results.Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.Stay up to date on the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and regulations.Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required5+ years of experience in fire protection system installation or inspection, testing, and maintenance.Possess relevant State and/or National certifications, where applicable.Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC).Familiarity with various fire protection systems and equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.Job TypeFull-timePay$25.00 - $35.00 per hourSchedule8 hour shift - Monday to FridayBenefitsAt Total Fire Protection, we recognize that our employees are the backbone of our success, and we are committed to fostering a work environment that not only values their contributions but also supports their overall well-being.
