Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license in hand required Certifications: BLS, RPSGT, OR Polysomnography License Must-Have: Must have or License in hand Description: This position involves conducting sleep studies and assessments. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring patients overnight. Specialty procedures include various sleep tests and utilization of sleep equipment. Applicants must be proficient in charting, specifically using Epic. Weekend shifts are required, particularly Friday nights extending into Saturday mornings. Expected patient ratios are 2:1 per shift. Weekend coverage will also be a part of the responsibilities. Special requirements include having licensure in hand before start. This is a non-billable orientation job with reduced orientation hours. Travelers may float to nearby facilities as needed. Candidates must complete all required licensure exams in a timely manner. Providers are encouraged to submit the completed application first before obtaining fingerprints. A thorough response to inquiries regarding previous experience is required. References covering the past year of work experience must be provided. This role is focused on adults and geriatrics, with a typical census of 15 visits per day. The unit is equipped for sleep-related diagnostics and assessments. Candidates should expect to contribute to patient education and care during their shifts.
